The Reality: A Growing Healthcare & Humanitarian Crisis

Nigeria faces an urgent healthcare challenge that deeply affects mothers, children, and displaced families:

 ● Maternal & Child Mortality: While Nigeria accounts for just 3.03% of the world’s population, it represents a staggering 28.7% of global maternal deaths and roughly 12% of the global under-five mortality burden. A major driver of this crisis is that only 28.7% of pregnant women complete the recommended four healthcare checkups.

 ● Mass Displacement: Over 3.1 million people in Nigeria have been forced to flee their homes due to a decade of conflict. Living in IDP camps with severely limited medical infrastructure, these vulnerable individuals including victims of violence rely almost entirely on humanitarian support to survive.

How KOFA Africa Spans the Gap

KOFA Africa actively intervenes where medical care is needed most. We bring healthcare facilities directly to underserved regions and displacement camps, prioritizing maternal and child health alongside routine medical support.

Our Key Interventions Include:

 ● Maternal & Child Health: Dedicated pre- and post-natal support, examinations, and vital scans to safeguard expectant mothers and young children.

 ● Diagnostic & Clinical Care: On-site medical consultations, comprehensive health assessments, and diagnostic imaging.

 ● Illness Treatment & Emergency Aid: Diagnosis and treatment for a broad range of illnesses to restore health and prevent avoidable deaths.
