1. Bringing Hope, One Borehole at a Time: Introducing ‘Project 100’
Date: August 22, 2025
Nigeria, a country of immense potential and a vibrant population, faces a critical challenge that often goes unnoticed amidst the headlines of economic growth: a severe lack of access to clean, safe drinking water. An estimated 60 million Nigerians—nearly one-third of the population—do not have access to this fundamental resource. This crisis is a daily reality, leading to the spread of waterborne diseases and placing a heavy burden on communities, particularly women and children.
At the Kingsley Obi Foundation for All (KOFA), we believe that sustainable development begins with meeting the most basic human needs. Since our founding in 2017 here in Abuja, we have been committed to empowering Nigerian communities through a range of targeted, impactful projects. We are proud to announce our most ambitious and transformative initiative to date: Project 100.
What is Project 100?
Project 100 is our commitment to construct 100 new boreholes in 100 underserved communities across Nigeria over the next year. Each borehole will be more than just a water source; it will be a cornerstone of a healthier, more prosperous community. Our approach is holistic and community-driven. We don’t just drill and leave; we partner with local leaders to ensure the long-term viability of each project.
Our Vision
Led by our founder, Kingsley Obi, KOFA’s mission is to provide opportunity through sustainable solutions. “Access to clean water is a fundamental human right,” says Kingsley Obi. “Project 100 is our unwavering commitment to ensuring this right for millions of our fellow Nigerians. It’s about building health, security, and a brighter future.”
The ripple effect of Project 100 will be profound. A single borehole can dramatically reduce the incidence of diseases, improve school attendance, and free up invaluable time for education and economic activities. By providing a reliable water source, we are planting the seeds for self-sufficiency and lasting change.
Project 100 is a testament to the power of targeted, community-centric efforts to create a tangible and lasting impact.

2. Healing in Hardship: KOFA Launches Free Medical Interventions in IDP Camps
Date: August 23, 2025
Amidst Nigeria’s security challenges, a critical humanitarian crisis is unfolding in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps, where millions of people are living with severely limited access to healthcare. Overcrowded conditions, poor sanitation, and malnutrition create an environment where diseases are rampant and preventable conditions become life-threatening. Vulnerable groups, including children and pregnant women, are at the highest risk.
At the Kingsley Obi Foundation for All (KOFA), we believe that providing dignified and accessible healthcare is an urgent moral imperative. Our founder, Kingsley Obi, established KOFA in 2017 to address some of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges. We are now committing to a new mission: to provide free medical interventions in every single IDP camp across the country.
Our Life-Saving Approach
This new initiative is a direct response to the urgent healthcare needs of a population that has endured unimaginable hardship. Our program is a multi-pronged approach designed for maximum impact:
- Mobile Medical Clinics: We will deploy teams of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists to the camps to provide consistent consultations and treatment.
- Essential Medicine: We will ensure a steady supply of crucial medicines and medical supplies to combat common illnesses.
- Health Education: We will focus on preventative care by promoting hygiene and sanitation to reduce the spread of disease.
- Maternal & Child Health: We will offer dedicated services, including immunizations and prenatal care, to our most vulnerable residents.
A Commitment to Dignity and Hope
“Every Nigerian, regardless of their circumstances, deserves access to quality healthcare,” says Kingsley Obi. “It is our duty to provide them with the medical care they need to survive and, eventually, to thrive. Our goal is to establish a robust and consistent medical presence, offering hope and healing to those who have lost everything.”
KOFA’s commitment to providing comprehensive medical care is a powerful statement about the role of local organizations in addressing Nigeria’s most pressing challenges. We are targeting the most vulnerable and underserved, demonstrating a profound dedication to humanitarian values and social justice.
