Nigeria is a country of immense potential and dynamic energy. Yet, beneath headline economic growth lies a critical challenge that impacts millions daily: a severe lack of access to clean, safe drinking water.

An estimated 60 million Nigerians nearly one-third of the population do not have access to safe water. In rural and underserved areas, this is not just a statistical stat; it is a daily struggle. The reliance on contaminated water sources fuels the spread of preventable waterborne diseases, while the physical burden of fetching water falls disproportionately on women and children, keeping them away from school and work.

At KOFA Africa, we believe that true human and economic development begins by addressing fundamental basic needs first. Since our founding in 2019 in Abuja, we have remained dedicated to empowering local communities through targeted, high-impact programs.

Today, we are proud to announce our most ambitious initiative to date: Project 100.

What is Project 100?

Project 100 is our commitment to construct 100 new boreholes in 100 underserved communities across Nigeria over the next year.

The Crisis: A Silent Humanitarian Emergency

Across Nigeria, ongoing security challenges have triggered a severe humanitarian crisis within internally displaced persons (IDP) camps. Millions of displaced individuals now live in severely overcrowded environments with minimal access to basic healthcare.

In these camps, poor sanitation and chronic malnutrition allow preventable conditions to rapidly become life-threatening. Vulnerable populations especially infants, pregnant women, and the elderly bear the heaviest burden, facing daily health risks with little to no medical support.

Standing in the Gap: KOFA Africa’s Mandate

At KOFA Africa, we believe that dignified, quality healthcare is an urgent moral imperative, not a privilege reserved for a few. Founded in 2019 in Abuja, our mission has always been grounded in serving Nigeria’s most vulnerable communities.

In response to this growing crisis, we are launching an expansive healthcare initiative: providing free, comprehensive medical interventions in IDP camps across the country.

Our Life-Saving Approach

To meet these acute health needs directly on the ground, KOFA Africa is executing a multi-pronged field intervention:

On-Site Medical Outreaches: Deploying dedicated teams of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists directly into IDP camps to provide consistent diagnostic consultations, clinical care, and treatment.
Essential Pharmaceutical Supply: Maintaining a steady, reliable supply of vital medications and medical supplies to treat common, high-risk illnesses like malaria, respiratory infections, and waterborne diseases.
Preventative Health & Hygiene Education: Running practical, community-led health literacy sessions on sanitation and disease prevention to stop outbreaks before they start.
Specialized Maternal & Child Care: Delivering tailored healthcare services for mothers and young children, including prenatal check-ups, routine immunizations, and targeted nutritional care.
